Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a non-profit professional organization for student leaders preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. The state chapter of FBLS is affiliated with the post-secondary organization Phi Beta Lambda. FBLA was developed in 1937 at Columbia University and the first high school chapter was organized in 1942 in Tennessee.
FBLA’s mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. Goals of FBLA include the following: 1) to promote competent assertive business leadership; 2) to increase the understanding of American business enterprise; 3) to facilitate the transition from school to work; 4) to establish career goals; 5) to encourage scholarship; 6) to promote sound financial management; and 7) to develop character and self-confidence.
Students must be enrolled or have received credit in a business-related course. Speak with Mrs. Amanda Mullins for further information.
